Exercise Anatolian Eagle will take place in May this year, there will be two spotters days on 9th and 10th and we will be hosting a tour from the 8th to the 11th staying in Konya.
International participants expected:

ITINERARY
DAY ONE
Departing London Heathrow (LHR) at 11:25 - Arriving Istanbul (IST) at 17:05 on Turkish Airlines TK1980 – Departing Istanbul (IST) at 18:50 - Arriving Konya Airport (KYA) at 20:10 on Turkish Airlines TK2038
Our private transport will then take us to the Bera Konya Hotel in Konya city centre where we will stay for the duration on a bed and breakfast basis.
DAY TWO and THREE
After breakfast our private transport will depart the hotel and take us to Konya Airbase where we will attend the first spotters’ day, and then return us to the hotel in the evening. Being in Konya city centre we have a plethora of restaurants to choose from each evening.
DAY FOUR
After breakfast our private transport will depart the hotel and take us to Konya Airport where we will catch our flight back to the UK.
Departing Konya Airport (KYA) at 12:45 - Arriving Istanbul (IST) at 14:10 on Turkish Airlines TK2037 – Departing Istanbul (IST) at 18:30 - Arriving London Heathrow (LHR) at 20:35 on Turkish Airlines TK1983.

Total cost of package price, which is based on a single room on a bed and breakfast basis at a mid-range hotel nearby, private transport travel in Turkey and including all tour manager costs. (No twin rooms will be available)

Payment for this Tour: This will be made direct to Travel Counsellors Ltd and covers all the travel items as stated in the ‘What’s on Us’ section.
You will be required to pay the full amount after filling out your booking request form below, which will secure your place and the trip itself.
Alec Walker of Travel Counsellors will contact you direct for the full payment after we have the required number of travellers to make this viable.
Once you have made payment, we will forward the details and forms you need to book onto the spotters days.
IMPORTANT: There is a requirement for all paperwork to be in and registered with the Turkish Air Force by 31st March. Therefore the booking process must be fast.

Passports and Visas:
It is your duty to ensure you are in compliance with all entry requirements listed on the FCDO website (for British passport holders), or the appropriate national authority (for non-British passport holders). Threshold and Travel Counsellors will not be held responsible for any entry refusals or delays due to failure to comply with the entry requirements at the point of entry.
Coach Travel:
All our tours will be conducted using a professionally operated commercial vehicle, with suitably qualified driver in line with local and national laws to ensure your health and safety, and compliance with insurance and legal requirements. We will never utilise hire vehicles with a tour manager or member of the tour acting as the driver as this will be illegal as all members of the tour will have made a payment to the hire.
Mobility:
As this tour takes place on an active air force base, the Turkish Air Force have advised us that their flight safety rules do not allow any person on-base who cannot walk unaided; therefore, we are not able to accept bookings from anyone with a walking disability.
COVID Entry Requirements:
It is your duty to ensure you are following all COVID-19 requirements listed on the FCDO website (for British passport holders), or the appropriate national authority (for non-British passport holders). Airport Security:
Airport security staff may ask you to turn on electronic or battery-powered devices, such as phones, tablets, e-books and laptops, to demonstrate their function. If you're not able to do this, you will not be able to take your device with you.
All medication should be accompanied by documentary proof of authenticity, such as a prescription or letter from a medical practitioner confirming that you need them for your journey. Liquid medication that is not required on the flight should be carried as hold luggage.
Climate and Currency:
Turkey will be warm and sunny with daytime temps of between 20-25°C, sunscreen and some head/neck wear is advisable as you will be on an airfield where typically cover isn’t available.
The currency in Turkey is the Lira. Major credit cards are accepted everywhere. Various squadrons may sell items on base during the spotters’ day and only cash will be accepted there.
Other Travel Arrangements:
All flight departure and arrival times are correct at the time of preparing this itinerary; however, it is worth noting that many airlines may change their flight times with limited warning. The final itinerary will show the actual times. Anyone making their own arrangements around that of the tour, should bear the above in mind if purchasing non-refundable or non-changeable tickets. Threshold cannot be held responsible for any changes, to flight times in respect to any privately arranged travel tickets not being useable.
