Would you consider yourself to be an Aviation Enthusiast or a Plane Spotter? Do you have an interest in World War 2 airfields or Soviet era aircraft? Then a tour at Aviation Park is just the thing for you.
Avaition Park at Hawarden Airfield have a wide selection of business jets and light aircraft that you can get up close to whilst on this guided tour.
The guide will give you the history of Hawarden Airfield and its ongoing operations today, as well as allowing access to a unique selection of Soviet era aircraft including Antonov An-2s, Mil Mi-2, Sukhoi Su-17s and other Soviet-era aircraft. You will also be provided with a tour pack as a memento of your visit.
Please note that photography is not permitted on any part of the tour, however you are able to take notes of the aircraft you see.
You may also wish to visit the Chocks Away Diner either before or after your tour, where food is served all day and views across the apron can be had.
In order to participate in a tour, we require you to provide the following information:
- Full Name
- Full Address
- Current Photographic Identification (Passport/Driving License/Airport Issued ID)
Photographic Identification can be provided on the day of the tour.
Aviation Park Group require this information for security purposes and we will never pass this on to third parties without your prior consent, unless requested by Police and related national security organisations. This information will be kept for no longer than necessary and afterwards removed from all records.
Please note that this tour does not include Airbus Operations Ltd or Marshall Aviation Services.
This tour is provided in association with Aviation Park Group, who offer tours of their apron at Hawarden to enthusiast groups.
Although there is no minimum donation we recommend a donation per person is made directly to the tour guide on the day, with all proceeds from this tour will go to the Wales Air Ambulance and Childflight, Aviation Park Group's nominated charities.
